New Brookview Baby!!!

Ryan and Lindsey are the proud new parents of a sweet baby girl. Adrianne Elise was born early this morning around 3:53 and was 6 pounds 14oz 18.5inches long.

Kastyn and I went to the hospital around 9 this morning to see the new addition. She is precious. Kastyn wanted to stay all day and snuggle with Adri, but we had to let them get their sleep! We can't wait until they are back in the neighborhood so we can see them more!

Last Sunday was Brookview Bookclub! Only six of us made it this time, so we all squeezed into Michelle's car! Fun! We tried out the new Gobi Grill....it was different. I don't know how much I actually liked it. I might have to give it another try to find out for sure!

Last Day of School...

Today was Kastyn's last day of school for the 08-09 session. She had a great year and learned SOO much! She really loves school! Even though the fall session is over, she is going to continue through with the summer program! The summer will be a lot of the same, however each week they will have an activity that they will do...either going on a field trip...or having someone come into the school for a day of fun! I can't wait!

Since today was the last day, they had a bounce house and outside games to play! They had bounce issues...with it not holding air...so Kastyn and Max(the other T/Th kiddo) were allowed to sneak away for about 15 minutes so they could jump before they left!

Home from our Travels...

Kastyn and I made it home safely mid-day on Sunday from Gramps and Dabbers! It was a shocker when we showed up...but they were so excited we were there. Luckily it was a beautiful weekend, so we were able to spend quite a bit of time outside enjoying ourselves!

Friday night Mom was a sponser for the Middle School dance/party, so we went to that for a while. Kastyn was SOOOO excited to go to the Dance Party...as she kept calling it. At first she was a bit shy...but once she got out there...she didn't want to stop dancing!!! Thanks so much to Kelli for helping her get out on the dance floor and shake her booty!!





The park was a great hit with Kastyn each day...luckily for this Mommy...it's close to Dabber and Gramps house...so we could walk when she wanted to go down there. Monte was also around this weekend, so Kastyn was able to hang out with him for awhile, and he even took her to play basketball!!







Besides being outside so much...we ran to the store a couple times, saw a train, and got to pet some horses. I was hoping K would ride...but she wasn't in the mood...so I didn't push it!







A great time was had by all...and I even lucked out and had a nice quiet ride home!

New Friends!

When I was pregnant with Kastyn, one of my good friends introduced me to the world of Message Boards on the internet. It was great to connect with women who were going thru exactly the same thing that I was, and at the same time. Since our babies were born, we have still kept in contact, and I often times refer to this group as my friends. Nick has often thought it's weird that we are such a "close group" when we don't even know each other in real life! Well from this board, I've made a great friend...one of my closest in fact! And we have been lucky enough to meet up a few times...in real life! It is great and I love having her family as a part of my life!

I joined another great group of ladies online on a different message board...and Kastyn and I were able to meet them at the park here in town last week when they were passing thru! It was great to put a real face with a name! The kiddos had a great time playing at the park, while I was able to sit and chat with the Mommy for a while before they had to head out on their journey!

Impromtu Travels...

After going to work last night and seeing I had NO clients on Saturday, I marked myself out for the day and decided to head North today to my Dad and Moms with Kastyn. We got up this morning cleaned up the house packed, and hit the road. We are now at "Gramps and Dabbers" until Sunday. Daddy will be all alone at home...but not bored. He has a double-header tonight with his men's softball league, and then he hopes to play golf on Saturday. We'll be back before he even knows it!

The last time I was at my parent's house...I found these neat-o little racks while they were moving, and I just couldn't keep my hands off of them! Well come to find out...they were a little kitchen accessory that my Dad had purchased somewhere and were supposed to be used for making jerky. Well I loved them, and knew they'd work wonders for cooling cookies! So I begged and Dad gave me two! I LOVE LOVE LOVE them! They work so much better than the regular old cookie cooling racks! Thanks Dad! And...if you were closer, I promise, I'd share my yummy cookies from today with you!!

It's been One Month...

Since I did a real blog! The one from last week doesn't really count.

First off ladies...NO...I'm not pregnant. Sorry. :(

So in a month a lot can happen. We've had birthday parties, Easter, beautiful days, a wedding, school outings, family time, neighborhood gatherings and lots of rain! So where do I start??? Probably from the beginning....Easter was nice and quiet around here. The Saturday before Easter Kastyn has Izzy come over to play and we also decorated eggs. They were SO cute...neither wanted to get their hands dirty, but they wanted to make sure they had very pretty eggies! So I was the egg dipper and dryer, and then they colored and stickered them up to make them beautiful!!! Kastyn had fun on Easter morning hunting her eggs, as well as finding all the little special things the bunny left her.





Over the past month we have had a ton of rainy rainy days, but we have also had a large handful of beautiful days as well! And with each beautiful day, we make sure to head outside and enjoy ourselves!




Next came Alaina's Wedding! It was beautiful. I was so excited to finally see how it would turn out after all the months of planning, and it was perfect! I was lucky enough to get to help her out, and I sang for the ceremony(10 songs)! Kastyn loved dancing with the beautiful bride at her reception!



Mom and I made a quick trip to Tulsa for a funeral. Funerals aren't typically "good"...but this one was awesome. The service was for one of my Mom's cousins and it was absolutely wonderful. I didn't personally know him...I may have met him when I was teeny tiny, but after attending the service I felt like I really knew who he was. He has an absolutely wonderful family, and his children were amazing enough to each get up and speak. It was beautiful!

Kastyn's preschool class took a trip to the zoo one morning, and it was one of the rainy days. We didn't get too wet, but we did get chilly! We were able to just take our time going thru the zoo, and seeing our favorite animals. We all met back for lunch, and then the students had a little "class" in the educational building, that they all enjoyed!




Riverfest kicked off in Wichita on Friday night! I took Kastyn to the opening night parade at 6:30 downtown while Nick played softball! She had a blast! It was so much fun to watch her face and eyes light up with each new float or group that came by! Her favorites..were the cheerleaders!!!




Saturday morning, Nick and I got up and went to do the River Run. I hadn't done the run since before Kastyn was 1 and she'll be 4 this summer, so it's been awhile! We did the 2mile race, with thousands of other people. It took me 45 seconds just to get to the START line! So needless to say...I wasn't going for the best time! It was fun, and we finished!



Cinco de Mayo....on Brookview! We had a great party to celebrate Cinco de Mayo Saturday evening! All the Mexican and Margaritas you could handle....with plenty of leftovers! Thanks to Gamma, Shell, and B for opening their garage to us and fixing such wonderful food to feed all of us. We had a great time! Anytime spent with our neighbors is full of FUN!





So that's it! Our month summed up...just like that! Sorry that I have been a lazy blogger...but as you can see...I've kinda been busy! I know with spring/summer upon us, thing will get even more crazy in our life, so I will try my hardest to keep everyone updated a little more regularly!!! Happy Monday ALL!

Three weeks...

Is about how long it's been since I last blogged, and I'm sorry. I have a lot of catching up to do...and I promise to have a great BIG update SOON!
