Gymnastics is a big part of Kastyn's world right now...so needless to say...she's always, rolling, flipping, turning, and standing on her head! Here she is working on her headstand!
Kastyn LOVES going to school! Lets hope it lasts! She is ready way early each day, and has her backpack on ready to go! Here are a couple pictures from yesterday before she left! With her backpack on and ready to GO!!!
Miss JoAnna has been coming every 5ish weeks or so since Kastyn was 14 months old. PAT(Parents as Teachers) is funded by the Maize school district, and when they come out...they just make sure your child is developmentally where they should be. Typically we'd do a game or exercise and then read a book, while Jo would ask questions about how Kastyn is doing and such. She passed her exit meeting with flying colors!
Since we are in school now...we have new skills! Actually she knew how to use a pair of scissors before, but she just loves it. She is always saying, "Mom I want to cut!". So I'd rather watch over her cutting than just have her find scissors and cut whatever she'd like! She has helped me with my scrapbooking with her cutting skills! I'm just always scared she's going to snip her little fingers! I guess she would probably only do it once!
There is a brand new play area at the Sedgwick County Park, that just opened within the last few weeks. We finally took the time to go for a play. Kastyn loved it, and I decided that it will be a great place to go this fall when all the big kids are in school. It was a lot of fun the day we went, but there were lots of BIG kids who kind of ruled the play areas. I think from now on we'll try to swing by and play around 9am or so!
