Last night some of the neighbors gathered at the Thomas Household to cheer on the Jayhawks! Although we didn't bring home the win...we still had fun as neighbors getting together(as always)!!!

A Week's Change!

Last week, Nick and I were enjoying the beautiful beaches of Mexico...



This week....there is a BLIZZARD! Yes...SNOW! Yuck!

Hello!

I have been MIA, and I am SO sorry. The last time I blogged, I was packing and getting ready for Cabo! It was amazing, and Nick and I had a fantastic time...other than the travel mishaps! Note to self: don't fly on Spring Break! Our friends were a day late to Cabo, and we were a day late getting home!!! enough said!

Kastyn had a great time with Dabbers, DD, and Delanie while Nick and I were away...she was spoiled beyond belief, and had a great time! I asked her what she liked the most....it was when all the D's took her to the park to play! I mean really what more could a 3 year old ask for than the attention of three grown ladies playing with her at a "new" park?!?! She loved it, and I thank them all SO much for taking such great care of my girl!

Since we have been home, I have been spending a lot of time at home with my girl...as well as getting all our sandy laundry done and put away! Before we left, I felt like I was going going going all the time, and since we've been home we have been so laid back and relaxed! Yay!

Today is Friday...and we have ICE! Doesn't Mother Nature know it's spring??? Maybe I should send her a memo just in case she forgot!! I am also watching Cason today, and having fun! Amazingly...he and K are both napping right now! This is the first time all week that K has napped!!

Packing Packing Packing!!!

How did I really think I could fit all my stuff for almost a week into the medium sized suitcase? I must be KrAzY!! haha! I sure did try though! But then my wonderful hubby was nice enough to go find the BIG suitcase...and I managed to FILL it up too! I sure hope it's not over 50 pounds! I need to see if one of our lovely neighbors has a scale(cuz we don't) that I can pre-weigh in on tomorrow night before we leave and make sure I won't be paying the over-free at the airport for a super heavy bag!

This is probably going to be the final blog before we head to Cabo! I hope everyone has a fantastic week...and I'll "see" you when we get back!

Sick Kiddo!

I thought we were going to make it thru without getting sick this year...but no luck. Kastyn came down with a teeny cough yesterday that turned into a deep big bad cough by last night! She woke up by 11pm last night burning up with a 101.8 temp! Yikes! So I gave her a dose of Tylenol and a cool washcloth for her head, and she fell right back asleep.

She had school this morning, and when I went to check on her, she didn't feel warm, and hadn't been coughing this morning, so I gave her ten more minutes then got her up....well she didn't feel warm, but when I got her up...again she was burning up! So more Tylenol, a call to school, to let them know she wouldn't be there, and then at 8am a call to the dr!

We went to see Dr Koehler at 10:20 and it's all viral. Not much we can do, but keep her hydrated, and watch her fever. I am hoping and praying it doesn't turn into anything else. K and I have been laying in my room all day watching toons and hanging out. She napped for three hours, so bedtime will be intersting, but by the looks of it, won't be too hard...she's already tired!

Of course this has to happen the week that Nick and I are supposed to leave on Sunday for our vacation! But it's what happened last time too, and all was okay while we were gone...as it will be this time as well!
