Book Club Girls!

It's not very often that you move into a neighborhood and you automatically "click" with ALL of your neighbors! I feel extremely blessed to have moved onto a street with such great neighbors! About 8 months ago...all the girlies in the neighborhood decided we needed to start a monthly "book club". We take turns picking our favorite place to eat, and one Sunday a month we all get together and go! This month we celebrated on the 22nd for our Christmas Book Club! We went to Emerson Biggin's and ate dinner and then did a small gift exchance as well as a White Elephant gift exchange! As always, we had a great time with tons of laughs!

My Princess

Is feeling MUCH better today! She's been up since around 7:30 begging for food and drinks...and playing! We have played games, done puzzles, dress up...and she even played dress-up with Zoie!


Also, Nick is doing better too. He actually went to work today!

My little Sickies

Kastyn and Nick both woke up today between 4 and 5...SICK! Poor things. I have been going from one to the next to see who needs what...I snapped this pitiful little pic of Kastyn this morning as she was crashed out on the couch snuggling watching her cartoons.

Our Christmas...

was BUSY! We had a house full. My parents came to town Monday evening after dealing with the cold cold weather and having to drive thru a small blizzard. Monte came on Tuesday, and Uncle Gregory followed on Wednesday!

It was great to have everyone here and to celebrate with them...but times flies when you're having fun...and I can't believe Christmas has already come and gone!

Kastyn got everything(plus some) that she asked for. Her Kitchen is a HUGE hit...even though it's not pink! oops...Santa forgot! And she loves playing with everything else she got as well. She was a great big Santa's Helper...passing out stockings and presents, and making sure to help everyone open their gifts!!!

Let it SNOW...

Let it snow, let it snow!

We were supposed to get a dusting-3 inches...and we definately got more than three! Kastyn and I went out today for a bit to play. It's very dry fluffy snow...so her hopes of making a snowman were slim to none! We just threw the snow around instead and made some snow angels to pass the time! She loved it!

Christmas at the Wise House

Over the weekend we travel to Scott and Kamie's house to celebrate Christmas a little early! Everyone was able to come this year and it was so much fun! There were 13 of us!! This great big blended family is kind of like the Brady Bunch....she had three....he had three, and they married, and now with everyone...there are 13 of us

We ate a lot, laughed a lot, and had a great time overall! The weekend went by way too quickly, but I think Aunt Holly and Aunt Shelby have talked Kastyn into wanting to see the beach, so hopefully we can all get together again really soon! Someplace warm and exciting!!!

Kastyn's 2nd Dentist Appt!

On Friday Kastyn went to the Dentist for her 6 month checkup. Just like the first time...she was a champ. She kicked off her coat and shoes and jumped right up on the exam table to let them do their job. Since she did so wonderfully...they attempted to get her first dental xrays...however, they were unsuccessful! K's poor little mouth was too small for all that junk to fit in there for the pictures! She will go back in June for another check...but for now they said she had great clean teeth! Yay! She was super excited when she got to pick out her new toothbrush...and it has Aerial on it! She'll do anything for princess stuff!

That is how lovely and warm it was when I went to run errands earlier! HA! I want to move to Mexico!

Building a House!

Kastyn and I spent the day building a Gingerbread House!!

While we were out running errands she saw the kit at Michaels and then at Target, so we picked one up at Target and started our creation after lunch and naptime! Let me tell you that was the best $8 I have spent in a long time!! We had so much fun! It was a little messy and a little sticky, but overall I think Kastyn did a great job!! She wasn't interested in the icing, but had fun with the decorations!

Is about as fast as I drove today in this YUCK we are getting! It was 68 degrees yesterday and today it's only 23? Seriously! There are crazy drivers out there who just don't get it! SLOW DOWN!!! Okay...that is all...and if you need me...I'll be home ALL day long! :)

Wednesday is one of Kastyn's most favorite days of the week! Wednesday means 'Nastics Day! It's all she can do to get thru breakfast, because she is so excited to get her leotard on to get out the door! I am so proud of how with each week...she is learning more and more skills and doing each of them a little better each week! Nick finally got to go watch a class last week...and since he was there...I decided to take the camera and get some new pictures of her in action!

The Teoh's Visit

I was very excited Saturday when Deidra called and told me they would be swinging thru in the afternoon! I was lucky enough to get off work right around the time they were getting to town, so they were able to swing by for a bit before they headed home to Houston! I haven't seen them in over a year...and that is WAY too long! We missed them!

Mosley Street Melodrama

Saturday the Tyler's Landing "Gang" headed to Old Town to take in a show, dinner, and too many drinks at the Mosley Street Melodrama! The show was Crouching Santa Hidden Reindeer! We had a great time at the show, and then some of us went to a few bars after! We are a crazy bunch!! We missed not having Chad and Alison around to enjoy the evening with us...but completely understand that they are at home snuggling with that sweet new baby!
